Complete service guide

What this service is—and what it is not

A Professional Book Report is a private, human-directed assessment of the submitted complete manuscript or admitted book. It is designed to help an author understand what the work currently communicates, where it succeeds, where readers may struggle, and what revisions deserve priority.

Appropriate for

  • Authors with a complete draft who want an informed outside assessment.
  • Authors deciding whether to revise, edit, publish, reposition, or seek additional help.
  • Publishers or authorized representatives evaluating an admitted book.
  • Previously published books when the submitter has authority to provide the complete work.

Not included

  • Line editing, copyediting, proofreading, rewriting, ghostwriting, or fact-checking every claim.
  • A public consumer review, school-style summary, automated score, endorsement, or promise of publication.
  • Guaranteed praise, sales, market success, retailer acceptance, or a particular conclusion.
  • Public release of the report unless the customer separately and explicitly authorizes it.

Before you begin

Prepare the manuscript and project information

Have the complete version you want assessed ready before ordering. The report is grounded in the file actually submitted; later revisions are not silently substituted into the same report.

Accepted manuscript files

  • DOCX, PDF, or plain-text (TXT) for Professional Book Reports.
  • One complete, readable manuscript file, no larger than 25 MiB.
  • Use a descriptive filename and remove passwords, encryption, tracked private comments, or unrelated personal records.

Information requested in private intake

  • Working title, category or genre, project stage, and format.
  • Author goals, intended reader groups, and questions you especially want the report to consider.
  • Optional author background, reader hypotheses, and relevant source references.
  • Confirmation that you are authorized to submit the work and that your information is truthful.

How to use the service

From manuscript to delivered report

Ordering and manuscript handling occur inside your private Authors Resort account.

  1. Create or sign in to your Authors Resort account.The Book Reports link returns you to the dedicated Professional Book Reports area after authentication.
  2. Create or select the correct Project Room.A Project Room keeps the manuscript, intake, order, status, and delivery associated with the same book.
  3. Choose the Professional Book Report offer.The system applies first-report eligibility or the appropriate later-report option from authoritative account records.
  4. Complete checkout.Payment confirmation creates the private service entitlement. A saved selection by itself is not a purchase.
  5. Complete the purchased-service intake.Select the active report entitlement, answer every required question, and confirm the rights and private-delivery statements.
  6. Upload the manuscript.In Private File Intake, select the same active service, choose the DOCX, PDF, or TXT file, and submit it. Wait for the confirmation that the file was received and held for private review.
  7. Track the work.Use order status, intake records, and upload status in Authors Resort. Validation or production failure does not silently consume the report entitlement.
  8. Receive the report privately.After Publishing Core acceptance, the PDF and DOCX download appears in Private reports and records.
  9. Request the included factual correction if needed.Use Support, choose Correction, identify the exact factual issue, and submit the request from the same account.

Privacy and authority

Your work remains private by default

The public Veristio Press website does not collect manuscripts or payment details. Upload, intake, order history, delivery, and correction records remain in authenticated Authors Resort. Public publication requires separate explicit consent and is never inferred from purchase.

If something does not appear

Use the same account and Project Room

If an active report is missing from intake or upload choices, refresh the workspace and confirm that you are signed into the purchasing account and viewing the correct Project Room. If the problem remains, open Support in Authors Resort; do not buy a duplicate merely to restore access.

Deliverable

What the customer receives

  • a customer-commissioned professional report on the submitted complete manuscript or admitted book
  • a private PDF and DOCX delivery package after review acceptance
  • source-aware limitations and claim discipline rather than guaranteed praise
  • one factual-correction round for the delivered report
  • an optional, separately labeled campaign-ready language package when requested during intake
  • optional public-publication consent handled separately from private delivery

Reports are privately delivered by default. Public publication is optional, separate, and never implied by purchase or delivery. A report may identify limitations, concerns, missing context, or reasons a manuscript is not ready; praise is not guaranteed.

Optional campaign support

Campaign-ready language you can copy and adapt

This is a real optional deliverable selected during private intake. It does not change, soften, or replace the independent assessment.

When requested, the delivered report includes a separately labeled campaign-copy section grounded in the submitted manuscript and the completed report:

  • one one-sentence hook;
  • one 40–60 word promotional description;
  • one 100–150 word campaign description;
  • three ready-to-adapt social captions;
  • intended-audience language and discoverability phrases;
  • headline or tagline options;
  • a short email or newsletter announcement; and
  • a retailer-neutral call to action.

How to request and use it

  1. Choose “Yes — include campaign-ready language” in the Professional Book Report intake.
  2. Identify the intended channels: social media, email, website, retailer description, event promotion, or a general campaign.
  3. Add any tone, audience, claim, or call-to-action limits.
  4. After private delivery, copy, edit, combine, or decline to use any of the supplied language.

Important boundary: this language is optional promotional material for the customer’s use. It is not a Veristio Press endorsement, reader quotation, testimonial, award, sales forecast, or guarantee. It will not invent praise or claims unsupported by the manuscript and report.
